In the late 90’s we saw a number of computer simulators roll out from aviation to city building. It is a popular gaming category that has transformed and branched out to multiple platforms covering just about everything, even goats!
Ever wonder what it would be like to live a day in the life of a goat? Well dream no more, Goat Simulator is here! A seemingly silly idea with actually stunning graphics lets you control a goat and reek havoc in a town. The simulator does cost around 10 dollars and has become a huge success. The game was released back on April 1, 2014, as an April Fools joke, but has since been growing in popularity feeding into this modern trendy culture of ‘randomness’. Goat Simulator is now available on iOS and Android platforms as well as pc. On the Goat Simulator website a disclaimer reads,
Goat Simulator is a small, broken and stupid game. It was made in a couple of weeks so don’t expect a game in the size and scope of GTA with goats. In fact, you’re better off not expecting anything at all actually. To be completely honest, it would be best if you’d spend your $10 on a hula hoop, a pile of bricks, or maybe a real-life goat.
