Mysterious Gold Sun Disc Found Near Stonehenge
An Bronze age golden sun disc has been discovered near Stonehenge and is now for the first time on display at a museum at Wiltshire, UK.
Found in 1947, the sun disc among other artifacts have been turned over to the local museum. Experts claim the disc may be 4,500 years old, dating it to the time of Stonehenge.
It is though that sun discs were created to aid in a type of sun worshiping technique.
