Mystery ‘Milky’ Rain Falls in Pacific Northwest
A dirty, yucky, milky rain is falling in Washington state and in Oregon. Residents are baffled, and concerned by this strange rain.
Its definately not what you’d expect to see, especially since it is also leaving behind a strange film all over the surface of cars and well, everything.
Residents in the Spokane, Walla Walla, Pendleton area are taking to social media to find out what is behind this occurrence. So far no injuries or illness has been reported and people are mystified and clueless to what would be the cause and if its harmful.
The Walla Walla emergency management office posted photos of their area, which show much more of an ashen look to their rain.
Their office suggests it all could be ash washing out from an eruption of Volcano Shiveluch in Kamchatka Krai, Russia. Their office says it spewed an ash plume to about the 22,000-foot level in late January and has deposited ash in a widespread area across parts of the Northwest.
